Girls & Boys Trials and Grading/Assessment February 2024

Want to take your soccer to the next level?

Unsure what level you should be playing?

Trials & Grading/Assessment is optional unless you wish to play in a Kangaroo or A grade team.

The goal of Trials & Grading/Assessment is to ensure girls and boys are playing in the correct level for their skill set. This helps their development and enjoyment of the soccer season.  If they just wish to play with their friends that's perfectly fine as well.

In 2024 we have some exciting plans for our boys and girls Academy programs.  Specifically for our female program, as we increase our girls’ activities and opportunities and align their development training offering to be on par with our current successful boy’s academy program.

Levels of Soccer in Community Clubs

Under 9-12’s

Joeys  for players with little to no previous experience or those still at the early stages of learning soccer skills.

Kangaroos for players with strong skills who want to be challenged and pushed at the highest level.

MESC does not grade players from Under 6 to Under 8

Under 13-18

Football Victoria graded competitions from A to E depending on skill level.
