Like most community sports clubs the success of Mt Eliza Soccer club depends largely on the help it gets from its members. The club is always looking for people to help with match days or events, coaching, refereeing, managing teams, or being a committee member. Volunteering is a great way to meet people around the club and of course is very rewarding.
There's always plenty to do on match days or at special events like our registration days or gala days. It may be anything from running the BBQ or helping setting up a marquee or writing a short match report - the list goes on....
Without coaches in the local community volunteering their time, Mt Eliza Socccer Club would not have grown into what it is today. In return for the time and effort our coaches put in, we offer a discounted child registration fee, free FFV grass roots and skills development accreditation, guidance from our experienced technical director and of course a weather-proof coaches jackets!
Every team needs a good team manager to look after their sides operations.
Chores usually include updating the team with news and upcoming fixtures, acting as a goto person for players and parents,
updating fruit and lolly rosters, booking teams in to tournaments and coordinating general activities.
Every team needs parents to volunteer for refereeing at matches. If you want to find out more about the craft of refereeing the club can point
you in the right direction from online resources to courses.
At the end of the season the club holds its AGM.
If you're interested in helping run the club this is the time to stick your hand up and get involved.
If you can help in any way the club would like to hear from you
