Mount Eliza Soccer Club at the Oakleigh Cup

The weekend of 10/11 September four Mount Eliza Soccer club teams proudly represented the club in the Oakleigh Cup. Under 11 boys Kangaroos and Wallabies, under 10 Boys Kangaroos and the stars of the day, the Under 9 boys Joeys who took home the silverware.

The Under 9’s final was a cracker with the boys playing an excellent game, all putting in 110%. As the under 10’s watched on Mount Eliza took the lead and not long after went 2-Nil up. A plucky Monbulk outfit scored mid-way through the second half and the pressure was on for the final few minutes with plenty of goal mouth action. At the final whistle Mount Eliza had won 2-1!

Congratulations to Paul and his team Under 9 Red, what a great way to cap off the season. The pressure is on now for a repeat in the Oakleigh Cup 2023, can they go back-to-back?
