Mount Eliza Soccer Club is excited to announce the appointment of Kerry Recchia as Junior Technical Director (Under 6–Under 14 Boys & Girls).

Background

Kerry is a former professional player and brings with him 15 years of footballing experience. For the past three years he has served as a Leading Coach and Coordinator at Melbourne City FC and in addition to this role he now brings the same dedication and passion to Mount Eliza. His previous roles include Technical Director at Dandenong Thunder, coach and scout at Monash Villarreal Academy, and JBNPL coach at Mornington FC. Kerry has also attended elite international clinics with Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Villarreal, Levante and AC Milan, providing a valuable global perspective to our local community club.

Qualifications and coaching approach

Kerry holds a Football Australia C Licence, a Bachelor of Sports Business, a Graduate Certificate in Performance Analysis and a Master's in Sports Science and Exercise. He has extensive experience working with players at every stage — from those just starting their football journey to players aiming for the professional ranks — and is passionate about sharing his enthusiasm with both players and parents.

Role and impact

Kerry will be leading our junior football programs in collaboration with the Football Committee. He'll be supported by Academy coaches Gary Talbot and Ian Carter as they design and implement development programs aimed at strengthening player pathways, as well as enhancing our Grading and Trials processes. Kerry will also work closely with coaches across the junior ranks to ensure they have the guidance and support needed to continue developing our players to their fullest potential.
