Under 12 Kangaroos 3 v Casey Comets 0
After a year of no home and away Football it was fantastic to finally have the boys in their new strips ready for their first season, where results, ladders and offside rules are played. Full of enthusiasm and an aggressive press on the oppositions defenders our boys went 1 up after 2 minutes. Our opponents played very defensive sitting deep which allowed us plenty of scoring opportunities.Credit to Casey’s keeper who certainly was kept busy, limiting the score to 2-0 at Half time. The second half allowed for a good rotation of players creating so many scoring opportunities and the opposition never troubling our keeper.  The Mount Eliza Reds managed only 1 second half goal to finish 3-0 up.Special mention to our back three who prevented Casey from any serious threat on goal.

U12 Girls lost 1-2 but really competitive game, could have gone either way.

U14 girls.Vs Knox.Great game, Mt Eliza girls were the stronger team, they worked well together throughout the game. Score 0-1 Knox. Had alot of shots, opportunities, great defending. Alot of positives plays they came build on. Thanks Sarah.

U14s lost 5-1 to Glen Eira Rascals

Under 15s had a tough one on a great pitch in Beaumaris and went down 7-1. Huge effort on the big pitch with only one sub thanks to rob for lending us Jackson

Under 16s went down 7-1 against Pakenham but the scoreline certainly didn't reflect how competitive our boys were. We went in narrowly down 2-1 after conceding a goal right on the stroke of halftime. We had some chances early in the second half which we just weren't able to convert before Pakenham extended their lead. An unfortunate injury to one of our boys, a result of a heavy tackle from an opposition midfielder, reduced us to 10 with no available subs. That made the last 20 hard going and Pakenham took a couple more chances to kill the game off. Full credit to all the boys who did a power of running and showed character right up to the final whistle. Looking forward to fresh legs and home advantage next week.
