Postponement of pre-season training (note: now extended to 31st May)
Things have been moving quickly over the last few days and today was no different with the FFA making a further announcement in light of the escalating Coronavirus situation. Effective from 12:00am on 18th March, competitions below A-League and W-League and all community soccer activities will be postponed until 14th April.
So what does this mean for all of us at Mount Eliza Soccer Club?
- Effective immediately, all games, training and soccer activities must cease
- All soccer and grassroots competitions and leagues will be suspended until 14th April
- Any soccer activity which takes place during this period is not sanctioned by Football Victoria and, therefore, the Personal Accident insurance cover that is provided as part of a player's registration may not apply.
For those of you interested, the full FFA statement can be read here.
With this latest update, the club will plan forward on hopefully recommencing all activities as soon after 14th April as we're able. We'll also continue to stay in close communication with FFA and FV and inform you all of any soccer-related updates as and when they arise.
We look forward to seeing all our teams back together as soon as possible. In the meantime, stay healthy.
